Everyday Essentials: Morning Routine

I really loved writing about my last Everyday Essentials: Kiehls Trio and it was so much fun to hear some of you who use those products. So I thought I would do another, this time focusing on the products I'm currently using every morning. Some of these products have been discontinued or have been re-packaged but when moving apartments I found several products I was gifted a while back that I was yet to try out! I will say that some of the product's here are pricier than most drugstore brands however I will go into more detail about that in the individual product reviews. I have had a morning product routine for past 8 years where I have taken recommendations from blogs and YouTuber's, making sure the products match my skin type and benefit me fully, I have always been hooked on watching/reading these posts so thought I'd continue my "Everyday Essentials" posts and keep you updated on any changes or new products that I've been using.

1. White Company "Mustique" Bath & Shower Gel
This was actually gifted to me by the Farmer family (the best neighbours ever) when they visited me in NYC early this year. Now I've actually used a lot of the The White Company's home stuff before such as their candles because their scents are to die for. I love fresh scents consisting of citrus or mint or cucumber. I find vanilla and heavy-food based scents to give me a headache and I really don't like artificial smelling heavy-foods like chocolate or cocoa etc. For christmas this past year I got the "Mint Green Tea" Home Scents Gift Set, which had a room spray, oil diffuser and candle in it and it smells amazing! The shower gel I was gifted is their "Mustique" scent which smells of Watermelon, Cucumber and Basil. It smells INCREDIBLE. Some shower gel scents I find literally disappear after your dry yourself off but this one has a fragrance that carries through most of the day. So so good. For the price you're paying you can probably get a similar scent in a much cheaper brand but The White Company are always producing new scents and great deals on different products

2. OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo
OGX Shampoo's I actually started using at Gino's, and I really started to notice a different in the strength and texture of my hair. My hair has always been really thin and silky, especially the front around my hairline. After using these shampoos for over 2 months every other day my hair feels stronger and I have noticed that the thin section of my fringe has begun re-growing (thank the lord). Like most shampoos I've learnt not to overwash my hair as it strips the hair of its natural oils. The product itself is realtively inexpensive for how much product you get ranging from $8 - $15, it lasts a long long time and for the genuine hair care it provides it is well worth it.

3. Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser
This product is new for me within the past months and I can't. get. enough. I use it whilst in the shower and paired with the product I'm mentioning next has left my skin feeling smooth and blemish-free. You apply a small amount of the product to your finger tips, and the exposure from the container to your hands activates a warming agent enabling a smooth and warm application. It's crazy how the product warms as you squirt it onto your fingers (get your mind out of the gutter). I wash it off in the shower after a couple minutes. This product has been so great for me at the moment, especially as I'm doing more exercise i.e sweating more. I really wanted to introduce a new product into my routine to keep my skin fresh and clean whilst cleansing my deeper pores. This works PERFECTLY.

4. Elizabeth Arden Skin Balancing Lotion with SPF 15
This step is usually the last thing I do before I leave the house. Usually I apply Dermalogica's Active Moist as my daily moisturiser. However, as I've grown more and more accustomed to living in a hotter climate during these summer months I've realised that suncream is my best friend. My skin reacts quite badly to some sun creams and I've found that thicker sun creams work well in coverage on my body but my face sometimes reacts badly with the heavy product. The Elizabeth Arden Skin Balancing Lotion has been perfect for me during these summer months. With is SPF 15 coverage within the moisturiser I can compliment the Boscia Cleanser whilst also ensuring I'm covered from too much sun exposure. This product is the priciest out of the products today and it was actually gifted to me by another neighbour from back in England, Nicola. This was a product I rediscovered in the moving-apartments-process and it is already nearly running out. When looking online for the link I discovered that it is discontinued in some stores however, still available in others. I will be stocking up, very, very soon.

Happy Wednesday Everybody!
